Disappointed! I expected more from Wahl, the item broke the second time I used it. Don't get me wrong, when I used it it made me very smooth, but the fact that it broke on me the second time around was very disappointing. For the price I expected better quality.

The golden cap broke after a few days. I ordered a new one and it has caused rashes on several customers. I have used a similar Andis product and it is way better!

Replacement foil for Wahl Shaver Shaper/5 Stars Finale is a must. It's probably best to buy at least 2 in advance if you're new to this device. Works well on stubble, no irritation so far. My only 2 issues: 1) The foil itself is hot pressed into the inside of the plastic shell. So if you press hard while cutting there is a very good chance it will break out and as such there is no real fix for that. it is better to buy at least 2 extra slides in advance. 2) Val does not specify how to clean the

I have been using this product for at least 5 years. The razor is excellent; However, the foil is always easily torn and is therefore unusable. Replacement slides are $16 each. The last 5 or so were extremely poor quality. In fact, the last 3 became useless after a week or two. I sincerely hope that Avalanche Brand will consider refunding me at least the last few spare umbrellas. Ultimately, I hope that the company will significantly improve the film's wear resistance.

The only thing I don't like is that the foil tears every few months. I oil it and wash it often before use. The foil itself is thin, so it tears over time. Nothing is forever. Provides a very good close shave.

The quality of the product has deteriorated. They have lasted me at least 1 year with proper care. The last one had to be replaced with a smaller than one. 3 months in use. I recommend that you don't try too hard when shaving to remove bald spots or trim your beard. Other than that, I don't think I'll switch to an Andis razor.
