Powerful enough to complete full body clips on horses, slick shearing sheep, fitting cattle, and general show clipping on all livestock animals. Ventilated, self-cleaning head prevents blades from overheating while the user-friendly tensioning system makes it easier than ever to set correct blade tension. Cleaning and maintenance are easy with the Star's removable and replaceable air filter while a 16 foot cord allows for flexibility and movement throughout clipping. The Lister Star comes equipped with a Lister A2F/AC Fine Blade, which has a clipping surface width of 3 inches for quick clipping and a cut length of 1.4 mm (3/64 inches). This package also includes a 2.1-ounce bottle of Lister R15 Oil, clipper cleaning brush, and a spare filter; backed by a 1-year manufacturer's limited warranty.

Great tool. Keep it lubricated.

The Lister Star is a great tool and works well as long as you remember to oil frequently. It's quite large in the hand, so keep that in mind if you're buying a lamb for a kid's project.

The Lister Star is a great tool and works well as long as you remember to lube frequently. It's quite large in the hand, so keep that in mind if you're buying a lamb for a kid's project.

They work great if you follow the instructions.

They make clipping quick and easy, even on horses that aren't very clean. They are very noisy. So far I've made six horses and all six have had my ears done. The horses seem to enjoy the noise they make. I was shocked. I hope they last a long time with good care.

Fast Overheating: Riders

My only complaint, and it's a big one, is that they overheat FAST. I had to stop 3 times while clipping my mini horse. I found that quite unreasonable. I know it's not the best you can get, but I expected to be able to penetrate the whole beast before having to stop. They were too hot to touch. I had to wait over 45 minutes for them to cool down.

Works great in equestrian sport

Has been used at several lamb cleaning shows. We still have to change blades. They are smooth and provide a consistent/even cut.
