Walker 50065 Quiet Flow Stainless Muffler Review

This muffler (at least the one I have) does not have a suitable bracket to mount directly to a 2008 Jeep Wrangler. The bracket on the passenger side had to be replaced. I have purchased several Walker silencers over the years. They're cheap, they work for a while, but they're not good in the long run. Invest in better quality if you don't want to keep buying silencers.

Easy Installation, Quiet. After reading all the reviews I decided to take a chance because of the price. Came as expected with no box but no visible damage. I wiped down with acetone and applied 2 coats of heat resistant black paint to weather the Northeast winters. Installation took about 10 minutes as my old muffler was already out of service, I will update the review again after the winter. So far very satisfied. purring like a kitten.

I bought this because my family complained that my Jeep was too loud to travel so had to get a replacement or leave the Jeep at home . The thing is almost too quiet, sometimes I forget to shift gears because I can't hear the engine through my tires. We jokingly say he turned my Jeep into a Prius. I bought it from Revain stock so it wasn't in the original packaging so the intake was worn but nothing I couldn't easily fix. family happy

the muffler itself is slightly smaller than the jeep original but otherwise perfect! I used a grinding wheel to speed up removing the old muffler. The new one collapsed - and the rear part does not need to be lifted! Had to add 1 star. In less than 2 years the welds on the support brackets came loose. The seams on both ends of the muffler also began to diverge. Luckily my nephew is in the jeep club and I was able to get an OEM muffler from someone who also installed an aftermarket exhaust…

I like it so far but only installed it for a few days. I made the mistake of installing a dual exhaust on my 2011 Jeep Wrangler that was too noisy and I was unable to reattach the original exhaust. I needed a muffler for my jeep. I've read other reviews and was torn between this one or buying a generic muffler and some pre-bent parts and hand welding. I don't plan on keeping this Jeep much longer so I figured it would be the path of least resistance, but I'm not sure it worked. I can confirm the other reviewers are correct, this is what is displayed without the box on your door. Just a silencer with your name on it. Literally. Mine came with a flattened inlet on one side (see first photo)
