Vibrations Humming and Rattling From Pipe

After installing a new exhaust pipe on my Honda Odyssey, I noticed a humming/rattling noise at certain RPM ranges when idling and/or while driving. Sometimes it was more noticeable than others. I eventually got to the point of manually inspecting the car to locate the noise (usually driven by my wife) and noticed it was coming from a new exhaust that appeared to be coming from the flex pipe area. Nice part but poor quality control.

Part goes well with my Odyssey. However, the threads of the O2 probe were full of weld spatter from production. Should not have shipped in this condition as it was unusable until I bought a threaded O2 sensor tap to clean the threads. Weld spatter prevented the sensor from being screwed in. I thought it would be cheaper/easier to buy an $8 tool and work on it a bit than to send this back for a refund and maybe get another one in the same condition. In production, a thread plug should be used…

Fits 2003 Odyssey in Exhaust Pipes and Tips

I installed this front pipe on a 2003 Odyssey and it fitted perfectly. First I sprayed it with high temp silver rustoleum because I had it on a shelf in the garage. Driven about 1000 km by car, nothing flows. I found that the mounting flanges have grooves where the pipe connects to the engine, so I used new genuine Honda gaskets (because I had them) that fit the grooves.
