AMAZON needs to CHECK product specs

False advertising. The specs said it was 1800 watts, half of that. My fault is that I have been "lured" into believing that this is a heavy duty "commercial quality" toaster. It is not. It's just a classic retro toaster. I would hope that Revain would at least look at what the seller claims and not what it is.

This toaster works great.

I was hesitant to spend $100 on a toaster. Always bought cheaply with varying degrees of success. You wouldn't believe that toasting a piece of bread is that difficult. This toaster works perfectly. The dimmer control can be fine-tuned to your liking. Very well built. Heavy compared to cheap. Still seems expensive but if it holds up and continues to perform as it is now it could be a good buy. Nice that you can still buy quality. You just have to pay for it.

Brown uneven on both sides

A very unfortunate purchase. It's browning unevenly, one side of the bread is perfect, and the other isn't even lightly toasted. Zoom in and one side lights up. Contacted the seller and they told me to contact Waring. As for this review, I've only heard one automated response: back from them, except that I can return it for repair, ship both ways at my own expense, and allow 4-6 weeks for repair. Might not buy it commercially, but it's useless and quite expensive for a toaster.

Wow! Finally a real toaster!

After years of putting up with the homemade version of the toaster with only three elements so they wouldn't toast, this one works like a real toaster I remember when I was young. It can toast a bagel on level 1.5 in about 1-1/4 minutes, reheating comes in handy too if you don't catch it when it first comes out. Easy to clean but leaves fingerprints as you would expect from a chrome item. Keep in mind that there is no setting for bagels that toast the inside more than the outside, which isn't a

Overpriced - Small Units

This product is advertised as 'Commercial' quality but does NOT heat evenly on both sides as advertised. I have owned 3 toasters in the last 3 years and have parted with the first 2 for this reason. I've loved the Waring brand for decades, until now. My first Waring blender lasted over 20 years. I never thought I would spend more than $100. on a toaster but I thought buying a "commercial toaster" would solve the problem and be the last toaster I would have to buy. To make matters worse, Revain…

Fry evenly, roast predictably. This is a good toaster

We really liked this appliance. It roasts evenly on every setting I've tried. 2-3 get a nice light toast (like I would use for a sandwich). The maximum setting of 6 gives crispy English muffins. What I also really like is that the level of browning on the toast is repeatable: I use 6 on my English muffins every morning and they come out almost the same every morning. bread that is frozen. My wife often freezes her specialty gluten free bread and the thawing routine seems to work for her…

Disappointed with toasters

Well, for starters, the toast dimming wheel moves from 1 to 5. However, if you set it to 2, the toast will burn. I'm scared to see what setting 5 will produce. Maybe clapboards or a fire in the kitchen? Oh, and even worse, even on setting number 2, the toast is dark (almost burnt) on one side and barely toasty on the other. on the table. After everything cooled down, I was able to find the source. One of the rubber feet just fell off. I was happy to buy this more expensive toaster because it…

**UPDATE emailed Waring customer support with photos and they responded the same day. Apologize and say that was not usually the case with this model. They offered to replace or refund the money. I have decided on a replacement. They said if it happens again they will refund the money. Love the toaster, I hope mine just had a bad one. Increased the rating from 1 to 4 stars. The original Cuisanart toaster with the exact same design has been replaced by this commercial grade version. The…
