Very cheap solenoid

Solenoid did not work right away. I had to open the top to solder the super thin auxiliary wire back to its post. Place 2 JB Weld fans to ensure the lid is closed again. I didn't have to fix a very cheap OOTB selenoid. My repair worked and I now have power for my Xeon 10 controlled by my SPod.

Pros
  • High quality construction
Cons
  • poorly thought out

happy with the purchase

I installed this for its intended purpose not to provide constant power to the winch which is the vehicle's main electrical accessory which I have seen in vehicles that did not have a power cut solution , caused car fires. Installation was easy and installing it on my Jeep was made even easier by using my existing SPOD rather than running the included derailleur through the cockpit. happy with the purchase.

Good product! in Tools & Equipment

Installed on my jlur connected to Aux 4 (only available if you bought the towing pack or installed it separately). Works great with SPOD or other switches. healthy product. I installed the solenoid on an elbow which will come in handy for later additions. I ran a ground wire to one of the ground nuts conveniently located to the left of the battery on the front panel. It's highly recommended to have a set of terminals on hand as some of these wires are ridiculously long and not necessary. For…

Easy installs on Jeep Wrangler

The kit includes all the electrical parts needed to install the Jeep JL auxiliary switch winch. If you have a Jeep Wrangler with auxiliary switches, you can install a magnet at this point and touch the auxiliary switch wire, which is right here so you can disconnect the winch from the cab. This allows the winch power to be isolated from inside the vehicle. The wing has an open hole where you can attach a rivet nut. I made a small bracket for mounting the solenoid. This is handy as the positive…

The Selonoid proved inoperable.

Edit: I contacted support, they told me to send a request from Revain. Revane directs me to the number I called. The service rep told me to send an email with the bill, which I did two weeks ago and still haven't gotten a reply. I emailed the company's customer support again last week, but no response. Everything was included in the kit, the product looks high quality. I hooked everything up and connected to my switch, checked the power supply and there is no power output from the selenoid to…

Safety first! - Tools and Equipment

Whatever type of winch you have, install it on your rig. These are the large cables that go to the front of your car. If you have an accident and it shorts out, your day just gets worse. This switch turns off power to the winch until you need it. The kit has everything you need. Just find a spot near the battery. Connect the included power cord to one side of the switch and to the positive battery post, then connect the winch to the other side. cable in the switch. and bingo, bango, bongo…

Easy installation - tools and equipment

When I installed my winch (WARN VR EVO 12-S) I was concerned about the possibility of a short circuit in the event of a frontal impact. There's also the (very unlikely) possibility that someone who knows what they're doing could be messing with the winch if it was always on, which is why I wanted to add a power outage. After spending a lot of time trying to find the best solenoid based on max current draw and duty cycle, I decided to just buy the kit that WARN sells. I didn't use the included…
