Not what I expected

Of all the sprays I tried, this was my least favorite. It leaves a hazy finish on the resin. The shape comes out though, so I think it serves its purpose.

Cons
  • boring packaging

Pretty Good - Manufacturing

I did a test run using JB's five hour epoxy for welding and it worked as expected with about two coats. I have several other epoxies but this was the first one I will be using for the project. For my small projects, that should be enough for a while.

Pros
  • Complete Kit
Cons
  • I won't say

Great product - poured and poured

Works very well with gelcoat and epoxy paste. This is the first time I have used a PVA type product. Housekeeping was fantastic and easy. Just some soap and water. We were supposed to have a spray nozzle in a bottle, but I found the right one. I've found that a light spray and then a brush to spread the product works really well. I recommend applying it to the surface when it is in a horizontal position until it dries. By keeping the surface level until the product kicks in, our virtual surface

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Too long to wait

Waste of money

NOT SUITABLE for silicone molds. glue together. Have fun pulling out your master. did more than 4 shifts. What a waste of time waiting for those layers to dry. Not included in the spray bottle and the product is THICK. This will create errors in your shape if it's not already glued together. It's already expensive enough to try, so don't waste your time on it.

Pros
  • πŸ‘ VERSATILE. This PVA mold remover is ideal for all kinds of DIY projects. Use it to work with epoxy, resin, polyester, vinylester, gelcoat, polyurethane foam or silicone.
Cons
  • String shorter than other picks

Matte finish but good releasability

This product dries like a matt colour/texture chopping board. Not very smooth but good for separating the epoxy and washing the material off in one wash. I'm sticking with at least a 3 layer High Air Low product mist which works best. Adding a 50% dilution with water will increase the smoothness of the straightener, but will still dry to a matte finish. Maybe some Teflon additive or silicone will help to give it a shiny finish. I don't know, but it's a good opportunity.

Pros
  • πŸ‘ EASY TO USE - To use this release agent, feel free to apply it to the mold surface with a brush, spray, roller or sponge. The solution does not shrink or stain your work.
Cons
  • Available in black only

Incredibly disappointed

I bought this PVA because I was out of part PVA #10 and needed something quick. The cork was prepared with partial wax for mold making, the flanges were unwaxed and slip tape was applied to the seams, the gaps were filled with Shavan's plasticine. Pva sprays well. However shortly after applying the tooling gelcoat the PVA started to rise on all areas that had been waxed with partial paste, lifted on flash tape and also on clay. I've spent a lot of gelcoat, a lot of time, and now I'm praying…

Pros
  • πŸ‘ SAVE TIME AND ENERGY - Want to double your productivity while creating projects? This PVA-based release agent helps you instantly and safely remove the finished work from the mold.
Cons
  • No Instructions
