Purchased for a pillow on a styrofoam bed. I had to abandon the old pure cotton mattress pad to protect myself from materials that make it waterproof. The skin is sensitive to everything except cotton. Great fit, adds some padding. Washes well as I wash everything before use or wear. I will have to buy this again unless a pure cotton leather bed with 1/4" lining comes along.

I've tried so many mattress pads and mattress pads. Some of them are "waterproof", but that's on a different level than waterproof. I think every situation is different. This pad has proven to be the most effective for urinary incontinence. It's in the mid-range price range, so it comes with an attractive, lightweight pad that's built to last. It worked well for us and I can only recommend it.

Well we've tested it and I'm happy to say it works. Our almost 2 year old got wet in diapers and vomited on this thing and it continues to protect his mattress.
