So you get what you pay for. It works, but there is a large delay in reading the voltage. DC and SMD audiometers work in real time. It's not that bad, but enough to annoy me, but it still works fine.

Need a waterproof battery gauge for a solar energy project. I was able to pierce the battery storage box and install it with a clear indicator. The only problem is the stands, which stick out straight, making them cramped in the battery compartment. But great product, decent price - great visibility. makes it an easy task.

I installed this on my Honda Goldwing. Installation was easy. That's pretty close compared to a digital voltmeter. The only thing I don't like is that the color of the digital display doesn't look good in the sun unless you cover it with your hand. However, the red and green lights on the indicator ring are clearly visible, allowing you to see good/bad battery status at a glance.

Just got the volts/battery status gauge. Hooked it up to two separate deep cycle boat batteries and all readings seem accurate. I like the bright LED lights on the sensor, especially at night. I have not checked the water resistance specified by the manufacturer. I intend to drill a hole in the battery cover and install a gauge, hopefully it will hold up to the outside stress. A cheap Chinese meter was sporadic and totally inaccurate. I connected it to a 12.8V DC car battery. The meter started reading 12 VDC and stopped increasing the voltage above 16 VDC. If you have a single battery device this is a great product for basic information. However, I installed three blocks on the battery to start the boat and trolling motor. The first problem is that there is no fuse, so you have to buy and install a fuse. The second problem is that there is no switch.
