Very robust sensor - easily handles high temperatures

I have four of these temperature sensors in total. They withstand high temperatures and even direct flames (for a few seconds) without failure. Old probes from other manufacturers could not withstand high temperatures, and the cable burned out.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not sure

Good replacement for thermometer and timer

probes only last until my wife uses them so being waterproof is nice. It's even nicer to get two. I used this set once and everything was fine. The originals come with a protective storage sleeve, but this sleeve will not fit. I use a wine bottle cork with a hook drilled into it.

Excellent replacement parts - work as expected

These replacement parts worked great and the waterproof feature is useful considering they didn't fail in the original. I'm still wary of water cleaning, but it's nice to know they should be more durable. I mainly use them in the BBQ and smokehouse and they work really well with other thermometers that I use in my cooking process. Solid accuracy!

Great addition to ThermoPro

Very good quality and durable with proper care; Keep them clean and neatly roll up braided ribbon cables (no kink). I roll them up and use double sided velcro to attach the coil to the probe itself. Take care of your tools and they will take care of you. They are an indispensable addition to the standard ThermoPro setup. These smaller, lighter probes are great for small cuts of meat like chicken thighs or filet mignon, and even vegetables like zucchini or potatoes.

One accurate and one not so accurate

I bought these as a spare for use during the holidays as I suspected my original probe would not last long. I recently used a new probe and got overcooked results. So I tested both of them in boiling water along with two other thermometers: 1) a candy thermometer 2) an instant-read digital thermometer. One of the tested thermal logs is error-free, the second recorded a temperature 5 degrees lower at boiling and a few degrees lower at other temperatures. I had to test them before the return…

Bought to replace ThermoPro TP20 Sensors

These sensors fit the ThermoPro TP-20. Having had trouble swapping out temperature sensors in the past, I did a boil water test with both sensors right out of the box. The sensors measure 210 degrees Fahrenheit instead of 212 degrees Fahrenheit. I let the sensors go up to 210 and then just left them in boiling water for 3 minutes to see if they changed a few degrees over time - they didn't. So you're off 2 degrees at 212, the real question is, do the sensors really be off 2 degrees at each…

Pros
  • Thermometer and Timer
Cons
  • Thin

Grilled the perfect rib eye

I accidentally destroyed one of my temperature probes by pulling the wire incorrectly. Something I was taught not to do in kindergarten. Thank you Revane for having a new dipstick on my doorstep the next day. Since I was planning on grilling the perfect rib eye tonight, I didn't want to risk the new probe being inaccurate. When tested next to a very reliable, instant-read thermometer, the readings were identical. He entered the side of the steak and the kamado grill, which read 800 degrees. The
