Warm and dry in my opinion

We have a second pair for each of my children who wear them - the next size up is required. We ride snowmobiles in the winter and they keep the snow from climbing up our arms and they're the warmest we've found.

Pros
  • Machine washable for easy and convenient cleaning
Cons
  • May not be very comfortable when worn for a long time

Keeps hands warm and dry for 2 years

Elbow-length cuffs are the only option for toddlers. They are easy to put on and keep. Knitted cuffs tend to push mittens off small hands and they don't fit well. They (small ones) kept my 2 year old's hands warm during a few hours of skiing. I find them waterproof but not that breathable as my boy's hands are a bit sweaty but overall they're a good choice for the little ones.

Pros
  • it's great, as expected. If we had a longer connecting strap that would be great
Cons
  • Can be uncomfortable to wear

waterproof rating by me

These are smaller than I expected. The inner lining makes it difficult for my six-year-old daughter to wear it comfortably. Would like a larger size. You must tuck in those inner sleeves or the rain will make the lining wet. Being waterproof, they are very heavy when they get wet.

Pros
  • The color was a little different than I imagined. Do you have them for us.
Cons
  • Cannot provide enough grip

Remains! feedback from me

We specifically wanted thumbless mittens for our 1.5 year old as his fingers are so tiny and delicate. We tried putting mittens on him many times and it hurt so bad. It is wonderful! He seems happy with it and only tries to take it off when he's hot.

Pros
  • Jan & Jul is a trusted brand known for quality and stylish children's accessories.
Cons
  • May be too difficult for some children

Perfect for babies!

These mittens were amazing. Bought for my granddaughter when we went to the snowy mountains in Georgia. It was cold and rainy that day and her hands were completely dry. The thumb is not that easy to put on and take off and the additional security strap that can be tightened around the wrist was great too. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • The first gloves I've tried that can't be taken off!
Cons
  • We didn't enjoy it for long :(

Worth the money in my opinion.

Mittens for little kids can be annoying. They are amazing and will buy multiple pairs. Not only do they tie with an elastic cord in the middle of the forearm, but they also have a buckle that can be tightened at the wrist. Consistently excellent quality! Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Amazing, definitely buy.
Cons
  • Not available in all sizes

Wrong design and overpriced

My daughter chose these penguin mittens because she lost her old penguin mittens. What makes these mittens terrible is that the insides of the thumb are not connected to the racquet body. So I have to sew the lining out so my daughter doesn't have to spend 10 minutes trying to figure out where the damn thumb hole is. What the hell?! For the price, make these mittens at least usable. Since I have to fix them by sewing, this doesn't make them waterproof. Disgustingly cute product.

Pros
  • Easy to put on and take off thanks to the elastic closure at the wrist.
Cons
  • Maybe not very environmentally friendly

The best! ...!! in my rating

It is wonderful. They stay. And incredibly warm. My 6 year old son skied (with hand warmers) in freezing temperatures and his hands never got cold. At temperatures above 20 degrees, his hands stayed very warm without hand warmers. And they never seem to get wet.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities such as skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing or building a snowman.
Cons
  • May be too bulky for some activities

Good in theory in my assessment

I love the idea of long mittens, but we had terrible problems with the thumb holes and getting them on properly. Also, two of the mittens I bought had their clasps fall off the first time I used them. We went back and got zipped mittens instead.

Pros
  • Provides a snug, comfortable fit without constricting or restricting movement.
Cons
  • May not be safe for babies

Disappointing. in my opinion very much.

I don't get all the good reviews for these gloves. My 7 year old daughter couldn't always get her thumb in the thumb hole. The bracelet is unusable. The glove does not stay on the coat. I expected them to be at least decent, but far from it. They are cheap. They seem decently warm and the prints are pretty cute. But they are far from 4 or 5 star gloves.

Pros
  • Easy to combine with winter coats, hats and scarves for a complete winter look.
Cons
  • Cannot be machine washed

Breaks easily and doesn't warm little hands!

Just awful! First, the plastic piece that holds the cord to make the glove tighter broke the moment I was tightening it on my kid's hand. Second, my child's hands felt like ice cubes after playing in the snow on a relatively warm, snowy day. I have no idea why these gloves got such high marks. I wanted to love these gloves because they fit and because they're good for freezing temperatures, but I didn't want those claims to be true.

Pros
  • They hold up great and are perfect for our one year old twins!
Cons
  • Can be too slippery to grab things

Works great - my review

They are warm and waterproof and if you tighten them up they will hold up well. My daughter takes off everything but when I pull her up she can't take them off. They are easy to put on as there is no space for the thumb.

Pros
  • They fit well. Haven't used it yet as winter is coming.
Cons
  • It can be difficult to find replacement pairs

not as bright as in the picture

I haven't tested it in the snow yet, the color isn't as bright as in the picture. My 4 year old tries it on and it seems a little bigger than her hand which is good for long term use.

Pros
  • Keeps my son's hands really warm and dry!
Cons
  • not the quality I expected for the price.

Cute, waterproof and thumbless!

I bought these mittens for my 1 year old. My 1 year old chews on mittens when they're on so I wanted something waterproof so the mittens don't get wet while chewing. I also wanted something that didn't have a thumb so the hand stays 100% warm in any mitten! These do their job!

Pros
  • I like them, she likes them, their hands are dry and warm. All is well.
Cons
  • May be too small for some children

Mittens that really last!

Finally mittens my 15 month old can't get rid of! I bought 2-4 so they are a bit big for them but I was hoping to get at least 2 yrs from them. Exactly what I was looking for.

Pros
  • It was great for my 1 year old!
Cons
  • May be too tight on wrist

Penguin gloves for victory!

My little one was very happy to see her. The penguin pattern is great and the fleece inside is so cozy. Very happy with it! Made with high-quality and durable materials for long-lasting use.

Pros
  • Made from high quality and durable materials to last a long time
Cons
  • Cannot be in different colors

Easy on/off and heating

I bought these for my almost 2 year old for a ski trip and was very impressed. I bought both models - one with a thumb and one without - and found it much easier to put on a toddler's squirming little hand without the thumb. His hands were warm in the snow and I don't think he was upset that he was wearing a mitten. I brought back the thumb style.

Pros
  • Warm, charming, keeps snow off your wrists.
Cons
  • May not be warm enough for extreme temperatures

Not waterproof, not suitable for children

Mittens are a great idea, very comfortable. But when they brought one of the fasteners -- the return window closed a week later -- the company's email didn't work. However, we were able to contact a company that offered great customer service to replace my niece. Excellent work

Pros
  • Fit my 2 year old granddaughter well. They are adjustable to fit next year.
Cons
  • Can't be very durable

Excellent gloves in my review.

You were a gift. He loves her. The best part is that they stay on those little hands! You don't have to worry that you will always fall!

Pros
  • Offers extra insulation and warmth for little hands thanks to fleece lining.
Cons
  • Can't offer enough skill

Reduce frustration for everyone

These mittens are super cute and easy for little hands to put on after the coat is on. They seem easier to get your thumb in, my 2.5 year old can find the thumb hole fairly easily leading to a high five instead of the usual frustration.

Pros
  • Waterproof, oriental wear, long enough to stay under coat sleeve to keep snow out. Super cute print.
Cons
  • Might be too heavy
