Removes the Smoky Mtn radio.

Super fast gallon fill. I know the filter works - I live in the Smoky Mountains and our municipal water has a ton of iron in it. Filters prevent metallic taste and intestinal irritation. However, they release a lot of carbon when installed, so make sure you run water through them for 5-10 minutes. If you like "still" water, this isn't for you either. . This filter aerates (?) the water strongly.

miracle of miracles! i can drink my water

Wonder of wonders! i can drink my water I have well water that is high in iron, not too deep, just a bad vein that I share with a neighbor. Anyway, I was buying bottled water for years until a friend suggested I try the Pur system. I reluctantly turned it on and have been enjoying tap water for 2 years now and counting. These filters are a lot cheaper than big brands and work surprisingly well. Many Thanks

Didn't last. I'm not sure if that ever worked.

I installed this just a few weeks ago to replace the filter that came with the Pur system. The filter that came with the system behaved like it was actually filtering and lasted 3 months. The water moved very slowly. Water flows through this replacement as if there were no resistance. It first spat out a black substance. It's only been in use for a few weeks now and the light is flashing red like it needs to be replaced. Seriously, we've only been using it for about 3 weeks, maybe closer to 2…

I'm not sure what's the best in kitchen and bathroom essentials

After installing the filter it went black when I turned on the water! This has never happened with a PUR brand filter. Was hoping to save a few bucks and bought a 3 pack replacement. Since then I haven't felt well, so I decided to replace it with another polyurethane filter. I had to pull the filter out of the device and the hole in the water filter itself ripped. I just bought a brand new faucet water filter. I just wanted to let people know it happened in case they have the same experience…

Possibly a dangerous product!

The package we received was unstained and neither was the product itself. The filter I opened looked scratched and dirty as if it had been used before. There were no instructions anywhere but I assumed the filter should be rinsed for 5 minutes before use like any other product. I tasted the water after 5 minutes and it tasted bad especially in my throat. After a few minutes my throat swelled up and felt numb. I also started getting severe headaches.
