Moves a significant amount of air

This fan is smaller than I expected but moves enough air for the purpose I bought it for - cooling a small space in a small RV with a roof vent. It's quiet, which is what I like best.

Pros
  • Beautifully packaged
Cons
  • No insurance

Cools my Shopsmith best among computers and accessories

I installed it in my Shopsmith Mark 7 engine case to cool the engine controller. In the southwest, the device overheated after an hour of use. Now it works great. I just connected it to the main switch and it turns on along with the motor controls.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Good but not great

Exactly the fan I needed

I have a fully enclosed 56 volt 2 amp LiPo charger that always gets hot during use. I was afraid it would burn out one way or another. I installed this fan, hooked it up to a 110 volt input, drilled a hole in the opposite end of the case and it really affected the amount of heat generated by the charger.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Great little fan. I use it on my smart plug window to be able to add air when I get hot in the middle of the night. Completely silent. I would give it 5 stars if it had a fan cover on either side so I could flip it over to let that kind of air out of the room. I can't because I'm afraid my dog might get hurt.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some flaws

Moves more air than 12v fan

Bought to use as a case fan for a VFD motor I have in my garage. It moves a lot more air than the low voltage fans I've tried and keeps the VFD temperature within acceptable limits even in the Arizona summer. I've only used it a few times so I can't comment on durability. In my noisy environment, the noise level doesn't matter, but it seems pretty quiet.

Pros
  • Looks nice
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

On Arrival - Computer Components

I plugged in the power cord with the plugs that came with it and it just doesn't work. I checked for voltage with my multimeter, so it's a dead block. Unfortunately I broke my ribs trying to pull it out to check the solder joints. Now I can't even get it back, and it's for a school project due in a week, so I'm having to push myself to find another one. Very disappointing.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Hard to tell
