DEFECTIVE ITEM in Replacement Water Filter

I received a defective product. Within a few weeks of installing this membrane, my reverse osmosis system was constantly draining water, resulting in a water bill that was more than double my normal bill. I checked the empty tank pressure several times, checked for kinked hoses etc and after replacing the flow restrictor and auto shut off valve the problem persisted. Bad product now (2019) - NO MORE QC (see my edit)

I bought this in October 2014 and it has lasted about 2 years. Their use, water grain content and filtering process vary. In my system, water flows through a 5 micron pre-filter (replaced every 3 months) before entering this membrane. I have public well water tested at 230-250ppm, straight from a sink faucet, unfiltered. For about $20, I recommend the Revain HM Digital TDS-4 Pocket TDS Meter. I use this to determine when to change my water filters. I also have a water softening system that…

> FITS THE JOB Water Filter and Softener

DESCRIPTION > Color: yellow. All yellow Premier filters are the same size and fit in the same housing. They have a capacity of 18, 24, 36 and 50 g/day. You need the capacity that fits your system. To my knowledge you may need to add a flow restrictor to your system if you install a higher capacity diaphragm. As it turned out for me, my old membrane was a 36 g/day membrane, but the system seems to work well with a 24 g/day membrane. Also note that my 10 year old diaphragm had the black rubber
