Description of Watts Premier WP531152 Substitution Filters

This Watts Premium water filter replacement kit contains four, 11 inch filters: one 5 Micron sediment Filter (WP105311), one 5 micron carbon pre-filter (WP105351), one 50 GPD membrane (WP105331), and one 5 micron carbon post-filter (WP105341). It is compatible with the RO Pure (WP531411, WP531407) and Pure Plus (WP531417, WP531517) line of reverse osmosis systems but will NOT fit the Watts 1/4 turn Kwik Change reverse osmosis system. The sediment pre-filter reduces dirt, silt and rust; the carbon pre-filter reduces chlorine taste and odors and conditions the water before it is treated by the reverse osmosis membrane; the 50 GPD membrane reduces TDS and other contaminants like chromium, arsenic, copper, and lead. The major benefits of these filters for your under sink filtration system is to trap sediment, reduce TDS, and eliminate chlorine taste and odor to provide clean drinking water. To maintain top performance replace sediment and carbon pre-filters every 6 months, the carbon post-filters every 12 months, and the membrane every 2 to 5 years with our easy push button release that doesn't require you to shut off your water source. Replacement filters kit includes One of each filter for Premier RO-Pure reverse osmosis systems. Filters change out at with Push Button to release filter from RO Manifold Housing. Kit includes one of each of the follow Premier Part #s: F105311, F105351, F105331, F105341.

Great system - long time user but disabled by new warning sticker 65

Great system - long time user Watt RO are reliable systems and work well. But recently I was put off by the new 65 warning label on the filter cartridge itself - that may be an overstatement as everything sold in California has this warning but I find it odd to have it in a drinking water system. I'll look at another vendor - aqua verse - who has a similar setup for cartridges and doesn't seem to have the warning. Watts - Please change your materials to avoid this California warning on your…

A convenient way to replace reverse osmosis filters.

I recently replaced a 20 year old reverse osmosis system with a new Watts system that I purchased from Costco a few years ago. I like the convenience of being able to swap out the filter cartridges without disassembling the entire system like the old system did. My only complaint about this system, and the reason I didn't give it five stars, is that it's noisy: if you pour in some reverse osmosis water, the system gurgles for about an hour as it fills the pressure tank. I called the company…

Does not adequately reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)

This may be due to a change in the amount of water likely entering my home but overall TDS after these R/O filters with Watts premium carbon filter sits at 65. Before replacing new filters, the last set of filters had around 22 TDS. Revain sells some good electronic TDS testers for under $15 that I use for quick and easy water testing. Has Watts changed anything because I'm using the same filters as before? To make sure the TDS meter is working properly I tested it with Revain purified water…

Not what I thought.

The product looked exactly like the filters I had to replace. Same brand; same description; the same colors. I could not get the filters to stay in the device housing. They kept falling out. I didn't know what I was doing wrong. I went to YouTube to try and find an answer and they were back. Same brand, same description, same colors. But I could not put these filters in the device housing. I finally had my "YAH!" moment and placed the old filter next to the new filter. Revain's is on the left…

replacement of these was "click". (Pun). Just press the button, wiggle a little, pull out, insert a new one. Two filters (sediment and pre-char) were sealed under vacuum. As I broke the plastic, I heard a whistle/pop of air going into the filters. The other two (RO Membrane, Post Carbon) didn't make the same noise for some reason. After the replacement, it seemed to me, the water flowed down the drain for a long time (2 hours), and with a faucet, bubbles came out of the faucet. pre-filtered…

  • I don't remember but there was something

Easy to replace. While Watts wants you to swap out the set of filters every few months (most of their reverse osmosis systems include a flow meter that turns from green to red when you need to "replace" the filters), this part of their marketing is a scam. . Reverse osmosis filter kits only need to be replaced when the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) rises sharply, indicating seal or filter failure. TDS should be tested every few months and the green to red indicator is a great reminder to test…
