Standard Raspberry Pi 40PIN GPIO extension header, supports Raspberry Pi series boards. Adopts SC16IS752+SP3232 dual chip combination, converts SPI to RS232, data rate up to 921600bps. Onboard TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor), effectively suppress surge voltage and transient spike voltage in the circuit, lightningproof & anti-electrostatic. Onboard LEDs for indicating the power and transceiver status. Breakout SPI control pins, for connecting with host control boards like Arduino. Comes with development resources and manual (examples in C and Python)

Improved RS232 Performance for your Raspberry Pi!

Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice this Expansion HAT easily connects my Raspberry Pi to serial devices making it a great addition for Computers .The Isolation features and Protection Circuits guarantee safety and efficiency in data transmission. The installation can be a bit tricky, requiring some technical expertise, but the results make it worth it..

Not compatible with Sense HAT

Works reliably on the Raspberry Pi 3 B+ model. The Sense HAT incompatibility cost me several hours. This also does not work on the 1 A+ model. In terms of languages, I've had bad results with JavaScript/nodejs, fairly good results with Python3, and best results with C (WiringPi library). Depending on the device you're talking to, speed seems to be an issue.
