So far, these cut well. I trimmed all three of my nandinas with ease. The cushioned handles are nice, and the carbon steel blades are sharp. I cut through a few stems that were about a quarter inch thick with ease. The shears open and close smoothly with no sticking. There is a tension bolt that allows the blade tension to be adjusted. I didn’t adjust them to trim my nandinas. These work well for trimming and shaping hedges and shrubbery.

They worked great this fall cleaning up my roses and other shrubs before winter. They have a rubberized grip that makes them easy to control and cut very well. Small and don't take up a lot of space either.

Screw and bolt came came off first time using. I returned them because the add said you could extend the handles but you can’t.. Can’t get it stabilized again to use. Brand new and not usable.
