Way Basics Bookshelf Sustainable Paperboard Review

This is my third Eco Basics brick. My first two held my desk (with other support) for nearly five years. I needed extra storage so I tucked it in a corner. I'm very careful not to put too much weight on these cubes, but so far they've done their job well. And they are quick and easy to assemble. I wish they were closer to white otherwise they are amazing!

I expected it to be a cheap "wood" but I didn't expect it to look like it was used. The corners are dented and all edges already look worn. And that's not counting the dents it came with. $60 is cheap but not that cheap. It was pretty easy to put together except we couldn't completely close the middle as there was a gap. If I knew this was the case I would just buy it more expensive from the target or something.

Very poorly made. The 3M tape that was supposed to hold it together didn't work. When I peeled off the tape in several places, it wasn't sticky. The pins are too short to really support and hold together. In places where the tape wasn't sticky I had to use wood glue. Even after that, I move the shelf to put it in place and it all falls apart like dominoes. I'll have to rebuild everything with wood glue and probably nails for more support. I'm just glad it fell apart before my granddaughter…
