🙅🏽‍♀️ 1TB NOT for Mac 😵

ATTENTION MACBOOK PRO USERS. I was NOT able to reformat this drive to work on a Sierra system. Okay, go to "Disk Utilities" to complete this task on Mac. Unfortunately, once you switch drives, it becomes completely unreadable on your Mac (which is CRAZY because the 2TB I just ordered does NOT cause this problem, only the 1TB hard drive). I ordered THREE of the 1TB drives and I know how to format the drive (thanks a lot LOL) and ALL three drives gave me the same error. It says it can't complete…

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • useless features

Mac users want simple storage? DO NOT BUY.

Clogged the previous external hard drive with professionally edited photos, large videos and professional audio files. I bought this to use when the other one finally fills up. Unfortunately it took longer than I thought to be filled which means I didn't use this new one until it was too late to return it. I'm stuck with a completely useless piece of plastic. I have a Mac that I'm very good at using. I had no problems with previous external hard drives. It's crammed full of useless and…

Pros
  • practical thing
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something

Works just as well as the previous version, read/write speeds are as good as an external hard drive can be. You'll probably have trouble playing videos in super high quality, but you shouldn't be using it for that anyway. The form factor is slightly inferior to the previous version. The previous version looked like a phone and easily fit in your pocket. It has sharp corners and looks like a PS4 or something. I don't care about fingerprints, but it's not very pocket-friendly like the previous…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

works great, great price, hope the reliability is there too

works great, great price, I hope the reliability is there too, the first time I shook, overheated and failed the driving test (it was only hanging at 90%), gave it back to a new one that was already on the way. In the meantime I ordered the blue one which works great and passed the full drive test. You must be running the program to use Password Utility, so you need administrative privileges on the computer where you want to use it. My encrypted flash drives don't require admin privileges, but…

Impossible to use ready-made

This is the worst portable drive I have ever bought. Most discs are plug-and-play - you plug them into your computer, the disc appears on the screen, and you drag and drop files onto the disc. Not this one! You need to install the WD software (which may or may not include unwanted software) and - boom - still can't copy files. No instructions, no click to run, no idea how to copy files. Luckily there is Google and you find that to use the drive for its intended purpose you need to download…

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • The list will be long.

it works great. But damn it was a whole 2-plus hours.

Pros: - Small (minor design issues - see cons) - Light - Mm. it works, yes? Cons: -What about formatting issues on my Macbook Air? After finally figuring out the WD forums, the Apple forums, many other forums, and sheer willpower + fiddling, it all works great. But my goodness it was more than 2 hours wasted for what should have taken 30 seconds. Draft. what the hell? It doesn't matter much, but I just couldn't figure it out. I have the same EHD in last year's model - it looked simple and neat,

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black
