Premium Weaver Leather Adjustable Patterned Nylon Horse Halter for Optimal Comfort and Control Review

Even when it turned out to be my front office's fault, they were very helpful and kind! A high quality halter. Pleasant to the touch, easy to put on and adjust. The clip is strong and durable. Simply excellent. The only reason for 4 stars is that I have a pretty average Thoroughbred 15.3xxx with a medium head. It's almost not enough for him - we hit all the last holes. He's far from stocky or broad-boned, and his head is more refined than some TB's. The color of the Serape stands out from other halters.

The brass parts are very strong and strong, the seams are very well made and stitched very securely. The colors are bold and look fantastic. The belt is soft and not hard at all. My 2 year old foal has been difficult to catch lately. Got this new holster and it was in my pocket it was easy to catch so I think he gives it 5 stars too. I am very happy with the quality. It fits him perfectly and I love that we can adjust it to size.

I expected this halter to last as long as any other Weaver halter I've bought before. I wanted a nice looking halter so I paid extra for a sample. Fast forward 1 month when it has been in the sun off and on and it has faded so much the black nylon looks red. After 7 months it starts to crumble and looks absolutely awful. It is not used once a day. So buy it if you use it sparingly and always store it indoors, away from the elements.

LOVE the patterns on this halter. Bought a Weaver quick release leather kit for an additional $9 (three per pack) to have this holster ripped off. I've only had it a day and the other tenants on my farm have praised it on numerous occasions. I bought a medium size for my Standardbred 16hh mare, she is a bit small (I mostly have her on the last hole settings) but I have a feeling that the horse's large size might be too big. Time will tell as to the longevity of the pattern, but Weaver halters…
