Very impressed with this flashlight! heats the glass very quickly to such a temperature that it can be blown and shaped. I've used it to melt lead in molds to solder it to and the girl has used it to add her flavor and aroma to a few dishes because it can be reduced too. Very durable and no leaks. came quickly Worth every penny!

Could be a great product but had some shipping issues. Too bad I was looking forward to trying it out and adding to my collection of flames of different shapes and sizes to choose from. I give 3 stars because it looked promising. Can't rate 1 if I can't rate a product. Send me one and maybe change those 3 to 5 and get detailed positive feedback if it's worth it.

Really hot enough to melt borosilicate with mapp. Very impressive. I contacted customer service about a problem. The burner head itself gets very hot, including the valve. The heat is high enough to transport a can of fuel. Maybe I'm just being overly cautious, but I'll see what the company says. Otherwise, assuming it doesn't explode in my face, I'm very happy. Much, much better than the burners sold in hardware stores. This thing just screws right onto the little jars and adjusts easily with a wheel on the back. It can generate more heat than a standard burner and can also be easily reduced to a small flame. A handy must-have for anyone who needs to heat up quickly with a propane torch, and for $20 you just can't get any better.

The torch works quite well overall, however there are two weaknesses in the torch. A rubber washer not holding position properly and at first I thought it was a leak, but there is another o-ring on the internal threads that seems to seal well enough. Secondly, the air intake cover is made of aluminum and does not hold its shape to squeeze the flashlight tightly. I tend to hang the cutter over the burner when not in use and have knocked off the air inlet cap a few times.
