I don't like this shade at all. For the price, it looks pretty cr@ppy. You have to build it, the frame works, but doesn't hold up well. You need to zip-glue the lampshade to the plastic frames - it won't stay glued. When you put it on the lamp it will shake a lot no matter how hard you tighten the screw/tip. It's just generally very poor quality. Now I will spend more money on lamps and get a higher quality one already assembled.

When I got this I thought it was a joke. You need to collect this shade. The result is a really cheap lampshade. The wire ring of the lampshade is fixed with screws. The ferrule (you supply) will only tighten one turn, or possibly two since the wire ring is not welded on. The screws are too high to hold the lampshade securely on the harp. I agree with another reviewer who said this item should be discontinued. There is no way to put this together without injuring yourself or breaking the part, both have happened to me. When I bought it I knew it would require assembly, which isn't a problem as I'm fairly persistent, detail oriented and experienced with different types of assembly.
