This is a great safe chew toy for small, medium and medium to large birds. I have been buying this item for years and my birds (green cheeked kennel, sunny kennel and open eyed cockatoo) love this item. Birds get tired of other toys, but not Bird Kabob. You have to do it on a huge scale so it can last longer. (They already come in small, medium, and large.)

My red-bellied parrot loved tearing it apart. Don't think it's a permanent toy as it's meant to be chewed. Small birds like parrots don't seem to chew it that much, but bugs and larger ones love it. Buy extra. One of the first things they chew is the rope they're hanging from. They will often pick it up off the cage floor. Keep a few extra ropes handy to hang it back up and you're done. The reason I gave it 1 star for durability is because my 3 budgies gobbled it up in just 2 days! They like to attack him, even with obsession.
