Suitable for small studio

Suitable for small studio. Previously I used three AD600 flashes and two small TT600 flashes. That one umbrella covered the whole room with an AD600.

This is a great modifier. But this is my second after mine.

Excellent modifier. But this is my second one as my first one just broke and nobody seemed willing to help me replace it. Great flash modifier if you have a 3-way adapter. But keep in mind that you may have to keep buying them as the center pole could break at any moment. Maybe it's worth looking for another brand. (Professional Photographer in Chicago)

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Sad equipment

The Umbrella You Never Knew You Needed

You'll never know the usefulness of a great photography umbrella until you own one. This product is unrivaled in its performance in devices of a similar price range: Gives an object a soft silver shine with the right quality of light reflection. It's great - I've used this umbrella for everything from portraiture to product photography and everything in between. It's big and a bit chunky but good quality.

  • Positive Reviews Only
Cons
  • Low Repairability

About 3 months old already broken

This umbrella works as described and is great for the one sports shoot I bought it for. But once a breeze blew slowly and the shaft bent. I should have serviced it 100% of the time but I'm disappointed that the metal in the shaft was so weak. When I decided to use the umbrella again (3rd shoot ever, including test shooting to make sure I knew how it would work) the stem broke. The handle is incredibly cheap metal and the umbrella is huge. So unless you intend to use it exclusively indoors, this

7' Parabolic Screen - Large Light Modifier

When you start using Large Light Modifiers, consider the end use of the actual product; before you start buying. If you are looking for a specular with very high light spread then this is a great option for you. You'll need a very strong rotating umbrella mount like the Manfrotto 026. In the arena you'll also need a heavier sand/shot bag to mount the lightweight stand it mounts on. Get one of these (there are 3 types) before each one starts to reach their potential. Bye, D

Great durable modifier.

This light modifier creates beautiful and properly exposed head-to-toe lighting with really flattering soft shadows. I highly recommend buying a diffuser to get nice non-specular highlights as well as soft shadows. You need a flash and use it without a bulb so the light hits all 7 feet of the umbrella or if you use a flash you need at least 3 flashes so you can use the entire umbrella. Otherwise, this is equivalent to using a 40 inch umbrella. since the light would only enter and be reflected…

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

I first bought a 7 inch crashing umbrella and got some very good shots with it. However, there were some quality issues with this particular unit, so I settled on Westcott and a quick comparison. There are differences between these two umbrellas that are very subtle and I believe most people won't notice or care about the differences. To me, they're significant enough to justify the extra $20. That and Westcott quality is well known and serious photographers tell me their Westcott gear has been

Pros
  • High marks from testers for hold and durability
Cons
  • Sad packaging
