These are small scissors, but they're not TOO tiny - they're comfortable for adult hands. Due to the smaller size, I wouldn't recommend them if you're cutting for a while. I bought these to cut duct tape (particularly Tegaderm) on a daily basis. They do an excellent job of that. They cut first time and produce a nice clean cut - my previous scissors couldn't do that. The reason I gave them 4 stars is not the performance at all. Rather, it is the convenience of the handles, and if you have to cut a lot of things with it, your hands can get very tired. I used them mainly for detailing, for a slightly stiffer and thicker paper. I have arthritis in my hands so it's even harder for me. Just an idea, maybe they could also make these scissors in models including those for arthritic hands.idk. just a suggestion. Otherwise they are very durable, very sharp and serve

Westcott 5" shear blades are only 2-1/8" long and the rest is handle so each blade needs to be accounted for. Very funny. That length is barely enough for a 2" wide Gorilla strap. My pair of 2017 Fiskars looked long, but now I can see their 8" length encompasses the entire grip! I would send the Westcott back, but the price was so cheap that I would order the 8" right away.
