This fixture could fill a big need for wireless artwork lighting, but its brightness isn't bright enough for anything other than a small frame of 11 x 14 or less. Looks good and easy to install but the switch is on the bulb so you need to have access to it at all times. (Don't mount it very high) It has to be removed frequently to change the batteries as they only last 12-20 hours. I have many paintings and artworks that I need light for, but I wouldn't buy another one.

When on, the color quality is very white and true, and the light wash gives the images a nice drama, especially at night. The lantern itself is not only pleasingly aesthetic, it is very thoughtfully designed and looks classy for what it is. Be sure to test your Rite Lite right away. I ordered a fourth and it mysteriously turns on at least once a day. Since they run on AA batteries, this is no small problem. I recommend it, but I urge you to make sure it is in good condition in good time.

Too bad I didn't find time to read reviews about this lamp. Many people say that there isn't enough light to illuminate even a small picture. In fact, the image has to be smaller than the light to be useful. I sent the item back and then found out that I would pay for the return shipping. Revain must include return shipping costs in its prices. If I have to pay $6.43 just to inspect the product and realize that the editorial description was exaggerated ("super bright LED"), I might be better…

I have two large fine art reproductions of Andre de Dienes Marilyn Monroe in our home office that I wanted to illuminate at night and didn't want to install standard frame lights. At the moment they fully meet my requirements. Pretty decent white light and the light can be adjusted which was an added bonus. I use them as a night light in the office so I don't have to turn on the main light when I go there late at night. Easy to install and great price. They're also adjustable, so you can rotate

As many reviewers have noted, this isn't the brightest light (but I was expecting this after reading other reviews). So if you're looking for a headlight, this isn't it. It's great for my purpose (I've posted two above the bulletin board) which was to add a third layer of lighting to a design studio in the middle of a very corporate office environment. Mine is installed in a dark hallway above a framed 3" screen print. Is it enough to check all screenprints? Of course not! What do you want from a LED cordless device? It fully illuminates the top two-thirds of the work and highlights the rest. In total darkness the print stands out sharply and enough light falls on the ground to be used as a night light. I use rechargeable batteries that I know are at least three years old and I have to change them every day. Big thing! Light vs battery life…
