A complete disaster, definitely did not pass the quality check!!!

Never take for yourself. Maybe for firms that do not count money, you can take a risk. But your earnings are definitely worth spending on products from other companies.

  • Two identical disks were in a Synology 216+ home server. Use for home tasks (music, movies), obviously not in server mode. When I took it, I thought it would last for a very long time with such a sparing regimen. The disc died 5.5 years after the production date, that is, it lived a little more than the warranty period. Of course they refused to replace it under warranty.

The right product for me, there were no problems.

In general, I liked the disk. I bought 2; I plan to take 2 more to expand my home NAS. When using at home, noise performance must be taken into account, especially if a quiet system is being built, this disk (or their array) can become the most noisy part like mine :) Its pros: a fast server disk with a large resource for intensive file exchange tasks with a 5-year warranty, a good price / performance ratio. Got cons: noise according to the WD specification is 31-34 dB, which cannot be called…
