The cord should be pulled taut and held in place by a snapper that will hold the cord taut. The thread is too thin and flimsy. It detaches instantly, causing the lid to fly off. The material is very cheap. waste of money. Wouldn't even trust him to protect the generator from dust, let alone inclement weather. Useless Not nearly worth what they charge.

This is a generic size and my igen4500 is a bit small for this case. It's pretty cheap too. I had a generator in the back of my pickup truck, next to the cab, and the cover broke. It's really cheap quality. When I registered my product for my generator, Westinghouse sent me a free cover that was exactly the same. I'm still sitting in the garage over my generator and it's not broken yet.

VERY thin material, VERY light and thinner than shoelaces. Fits my 7500 watt Westinghouse generator. In the manufacturer's description it is specified as "Durable material". I doubt that description just for the feel. I'm pretty sure it's just a dust cover and shouldn't be left in the heat and sun. It weathers and falls apart within a year. I plan on storing the generator in the garage until needed and keeping it out of the dust until the warden calls for service.

The advertising says it is suitable for 3600V but that is like saying the tent is suitable for a newborn. They can easily fit in the cap with only 2-3600V. It's too high, too wide and too long. The pull thread is useless as you have to fight against the fabric for the pull to work all around. It'll work as a dust cover, but I suspect it'll fly away like a kite if it ever sees the wind. We bought this generator in 2020 because PG&E loses power from time to time. It cost about $2,000. that our electrician will install a second electrical box for this, just so you know. The convenience of having power during a power outage is worth the cost. As you read the details on this cover please note the weight of the cover (4 oz) which should tell you straight away that this is not a heavy duty cover if you are looking for something to cover your generator from the outside.
