Not the best choice for bags.

I have had many problems using my Weston vacuum sealer to remove air from bags. Many times the sealer struggled to even suck in air and ended up sealing a bag full of air! I think this is because the bag is smooth on one side and slightly embossed on the other, the vacuum sealer pressed too hard on the bag. I have several packs from other brands so I stopped buying Weston packs. On the plus side, they tend to seal well and stay sealed. Also suitable for sous vide cooking.

Quality Matters: Vacuum Sealer

I use a vacuum sealer to save money and improve the quality of our food. It's not profitable for me to save money on cheap brands only to end up burning in the freezer. Weston products have consistently proven themselves! And sealants and packages. I will never go back to cheaper options. Realistic Expectations: Dried noodles with sharp edges won't work. Meat bones are exposed in the same way. And the vacuum sealer pulverizes my muesli flakes (cornflakes, wheeties, etc.). The larger sizes…

The quality has changed dramatically, and not for the better.

I have recommended this brand to many people since I started buying their bags and reels. At the moment I'm very disappointed because something went drastically wrong with the quality. I've had to vacuum quite a few things lately and easily 30% of those packages were bad. I have been in the vacuum packing business for 20 years so I have a lot of experience. With so many bags getting air this just isn't right and I'm really sorry if this brand has lost its former quality. Due to previous quality

disappointed with small appliances

This is my first time buying these bags and I had to reopen the sealed bags because after vacuuming after a few hours or a day they stopped sucking. the bag is sealed and the food is exposed inside. The thickness of the bag is thin, and any item that is dehydrated and has semi-sharp ends should puncture the plastic and create a vacuum. unsuitable and let air through. regular Weston packs with larger texture and thicker plastic were not sufficient. I had to rework items and throw away a few…

Sturdy bags, practical size

Weston bags are strong, seal tight and hold up very well. I use a Weston vacuum sealer but I have two Food Saver and Rival packs and the quality of these Weston packs is much higher and ultimately cheaper than other brands. That's the Weston vacuum sealer. You get what you pay for. But after the other three machines and their less reliable packages, it would have been cheaper to buy the Weston machine and packages in the first place. This bag size fits a pound of ground beef, a large chicken…

Saves time and money.

These are good bags. I bought the 6" and they are perfect for separating the produce I bought at the farmer's market. I bought 20 pounds of butternut squash for next to nothing, chopped some (for soup), cut in half (for stir fries), and made matches (for Sushi). These packets allowed me to divide everything into a portion and a portion for dinner. Their quality is the same as branded bags, only there is no white writing on the label (Sharpie will come in handy). I cut strips of paper towels and
