I don't think you should buy this. Arrived about a week ago. When I opened it, I immediately noticed that it has a serrated blade, although the packaging and instructions for use specifically state that it has a smooth blade. No, the blade is serrated. I tested it tonight by slicing up a turkey breast. It's good at 5 (millimeters, I think that's the unit of measure) and up. I bought this for my friend who loves to cook and prepares some of the best cured meats to cut up leftovers for sandwiches. Also, we buy blocks of cheese from Costco and wanted to try slicing them.
