Easy to install if you have the right hole saw and drill bit. Invest in a good one because the cheaper brands aren't as clean. This is fine for basic devices, but if you have thicker cables I'd recommend a larger size. The top is removable if needed, but I don't like seeing a huge hole in my desk.

Handy eyelets to organize your desk. As color options are currently limited I have experimented with lightly sanding the finish and then spray painting. Other reviewers obviously got something different than I got today (12/13/21). After reading the reviews I waited for my order before delving deeper into my project. I've already used my 2" hole saw on a piece of plywood to try it out. When my order arrived today, it arrived with a VERY small gap on the edge. I bought a set of 2" grommets and after drilling the recommended 2" holes in my desk the grommets fit really snugly. I would recommend a 1-15/16" or even 1-7/8" hole for a tight fit. The grommets are basically useless to my business now, I bought them to keep your cables smooth and now I have cheap grommets that don't stay as flush as they should. If the seller had mentioned the need for a smaller hole I would have been much happier with my purchase.

I put it on the table for easy cable management. I didn't use them for the tabletop; Instead, I set them aside because that worked best for my setup. The 2 inch hole is a little big for the side of the table and the grommet didn't stay in place when I inserted it into the hole. This was easily attached with some black tape wrapped around the outside of the grommet to make it a bit thicker. This makes many cables a little less messy.

Mounted on a table I made from an 8 inch table top I bought from Lowes, mounted on two two drawer filing cabinets. I used a 1-1/2" hole saw from the Harbor Freight Kit. They're a little loose, but I applied a few dabs of silicone caulk to the base to keep them in place. The one just above my UPS and my computer only ran out eleven wires. And they all fit!
