🔧 Whiteside 1404 Round Nose Router Bit - 1/4-Inch Radius, 1/2-Inch Diameter, 5/8-Inch Length Review

Made in USA, very sharp, cuts well. Not as cheap as the Chinese versions, but if you're supporting jobs in America and want to get the best bits for your woodworking projects, it's worth paying a little more to get a quality bit. Whiteside parts are simply the best.

I bought a Milescraft plate making kit. The kit included two carbide tips. Given the cost of the device, it's great that bits are included. However, buying this bit showed me the difference a class 1 bit can make. Cuts oak very smoothly without burning. Worth an update.

This bit was purchased for hardwood shells that I made on my CNC router. The racquet is immaculately shaped like all other Whiteside bits I've bought in the past. This cutter has cut through about 37 shells of hardwood and is still as sharp as new. I recommend this bit for a tray, bowl, or juice grove on a CNC router.

Just received this racquet today and like all Whiteside bits it is of the highest quality. This downgrading to four stars is actually due to a misrepresentation of the bit as a photo of the 1/2" shank was used when the 1/4" shank was submitted. Bit #1404 is actually listed by Whiteside as a 1/4" shank bit, but this is not mentioned anywhere in Revain's description.
