My first experience of cutting laminate worktops. Good, fast, clean work. The only thing was a deep cut on the first side of the laminate, but that was my fault for not setting the depth of cut properly. Perfect cut after adjustment.

I bought a Whiteside WS2640 trimmer blade with a euro square bearing. I thought a square bearing would be a great idea, but it was rubber or plastic, not metal, and wore out (broke and flew off) in about 5 minutes. I think I'll only use old-fashioned round ones from now on.

If you want to use this cutter for edge laminating, you must be perfect with this bit. The chamfer is enough to get into the finish of the surface the bearing is running on. After extensive testing, we do not want to use this for self-edging laminate. This nozzle feels as good as any and should work well if the edge is wood!
