The first project I used the kit for was 8 poplar wood cabinet doors. The set was easy to use and made beautiful racks and splints. Just make sure you use a sacrificial pad to avoid tearing at the end of the cuts.
Like all my other Whiteside bits, these work great. I'm almost done with 31 shaker doors but the cuts are still sharp. The 1/2" shaft is very strong - no vibration. You will need a good router table with a precision jack to get the quality of these bits.
I bought this bit set to build kitchen cabinets for our son. You are wonderful! 7 pairs of doors made, all like new. I have other Whiteside beats and they all work great. Whiteside is my number one choice for bits and accessories. Made in America!
Well I love white wire cutters but this one was a little disappointing. I tested this on a piece of jaw, just sanded about 4 inches and made a few passes to get to the bearing and by the time I was done I already had a small chip on the carbide tooth.
This is a genuine offer. I've made paneled doors a few times with table saw blades and can say that compared to this setup with a good router and table it just can't be beat. This provides a cleaner and more even cut that is far superior to using a table saw to achieve the same result. Setting up the shaker is very easy. Several pieces of scrap wood are required.
