The first flushing nozzle I bought. Instantly became my favorite attachment for this application. The quality of this brand is never in question. But the spiral design leaves the cutting edge much smoother than the straight nozzle ever did. It was also smoother when cut. just use as with the other bit.
These are very good quality bits at a reasonable price. This particular bit was used to cut oval holes for Ron Polk's workbench that I made. Bits cut 3/4 plywood like butter. You may overestimate carbide drills, but you won't like the price. I figured that for what I do I could buy 4 of these bits for the price of one carbide bit. I will do this too.
I've had serious breakout issues using a straight jig, but. A very experienced luthier recommended a twistbit. I heard about it but didn't know what to expect. I chose Whiteside as it was a decent price and a reputable company. I can't tell you how much time, frustration, and garbage this piece saved me. I will never use the direct bit for template routing again. This is amazing stuff!
Absolutely terrible bit and even worse customer service. I called Whiteside direct and was told they do not guarantee their carbide bits. They wanted me to pay to ship the bit to them to make sure it was "faulty". I used the bit for about 10 minutes before it broke off in my router table with a very shallow pass. $40 for a beat that lasts 10 minutes when the company doesn't endorse their product is absolutely awful. Stay away from Whiteside.
I bought this bit for a project I was working on. It cut very smooth and clean but I had a little problem thinking it was a grain pattern. I called Whiteside and Tech Todd spent 30 minutes of his day explaining to me how to fix these problems. Not only did his advice work, he asked me to call him back and let him know how the project ended. Now it's about customer service. I will never buy any brand other than Whiteside. Thank you Todd!
I'm having trouble routing African Mahogany for some of the Adirondack chairs I've made. I came across a YouTube video describing spiral jets and decided to give it a try. The reviews for the Whitesde beat on Revain were excellent so I bought it. IMPRESSIVE! Much better than expected. After more than 50 milled parts, some of which were very complex, only a tiny chip remained, which was easy to grind off. I'm sold and will add extra bits (reduction and compression). I always read reviews withβ¦
I used to buy another popular brand and after a few uses the carbide tip quickly dulled. The first thing I saw and felt with Whiteside tools was that you have to be careful removing the protective case, you want sharpness - you get incredibly sharp tools. I've been a locksmith for 47 years so I know the tools and the quality. This knife could shave. I have previously purchased their 1/2" spiral cutter and have used it maybe 30 times and it is still incredibly sharp, I have cut soft and hardβ¦
Let me start by buying a crappy set of router bits when I first started woodworking with plans to upgrade the router bits to a higher quality version as they wear out to keep the cost down over time to distribute. Well, it just so happens that my first few substitutions were replaced with Freud's bits. I'm not a snob, I'm usually looking for quality and price to match the reviews, and Freud ticks the box for my first two pieces. I really had no problems with the Freud pieces I bought. These are
