Whiteside Router Bits RU1800 Standard Review

I bought these router bits with high expectations due to the brand and the premium price, but unfortunately, they did not meet my expectations. The performance of these bits was subpar and resulted in a lot of chipping and tear-out. The only positive aspect is the build quality, but it doesn't justify its price. I would not recommend this product to anyone who values quality bits for their Industrial and Scientific applications.

As a blacksmith, I made a router bit for cutting horseshoe pads. Some of them are made of very dense plastic, leather, polyester, etc. They are difficult to cut. This beat cuts through them like a hot knife through butter.

I made miniature walnut dovetail joints using Porter-Cable dovetail and its HSS bits. There was a problem with the chip, but nothing more! The solution was to use this carbide twist drill. When I first used it in my milling machine I wasn't sure if something was wrong, no sound when cutting, no feeling of cutting in my hand, nothing. I had to lift the router out of the way to see it.
