I didn't have high expectations since it's one of the cheaper options. However, I just wanted something basic and that fit the bill. However, despite its simplicity, the design is terrible. The posts/poles that support the shelves are bolted together with plastic inserts. As a result, they peel off easily and aren't stuck to the shelf. Everything shakes. I ended up using wood glue and clamps to more securely assemble this thing. Without wood glue, the shelf is so flimsy that it will likely collapse under a small weight. You get what you pay for. For what I paid for it, it seems worth it. It is unfinished which is consistent with the photos. The small wooden dowels that connect the wooden slats are very thin; they looked a bit bigger in the picture than they really are. The leg holes on the top and bottom shelves were offset anywhere from 1/8 to 1/4 inch. I had to drill 2 new holes to avoid tilting the link legs too much. It only lasted a minute.
