So far, so good. I bought it for our living room which is not big but opens to our dining room and kitchen. The living room stays nice and cool, it spills over into the dining room but doesn't touch the kitchen. Nice and quiet too!

I have had this unit for almost 2 years now and leave it on in my bedroom every night. My only complaint is that it's impossible to find a charcoal filter, so I don't bother. Of course it supposedly helps against odors and I'd love to use them, but for some weird reason they don't seem to be making them for this model anymore.

I had it less than a month but so far so good. I had no problems building the block (once I found everything - useful Advice, make sure you check all the styrofoam to get all the pieces out!I spent about ten minutes looking for a grille to lock it in the window.It turned out I left it in the bottom of the package .) The only thing I don't like It's a stretch that you can't change the direction the air blows, I've had other portables where I could direct the airflow up or down.

We appreciate having this air conditioner, we use it in the office upstairs which faces the sun all day and this room heats up while my husband tries to work. It's too loud to keep calling, but it's handy for cooling the room after about 10 minutes and we can turn it on during lunch breaks or outside the room.
