🔌 HDMI to AV CVBS Converter: 1080P Mini HDMI to RCA Composite Adapter for HDTV PS4 - PAL/NTSC Supported Review

Bought this converter to connect a mini PC to a Sharp LCD TV to use as a monitor. Unfortunately, the resolution is so low that the text is unreadable. Photos and videos are passable. I'm not sure if this is the result of the converter or just converting the HDMI signal to AV.

Thanks to this handy little device, I can finally use my Chromecast on my friend's old big screen TV that doesn't have an HDMI port. The picture quality is so good you can get it without an actual HDMI connection. The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars instead of 5/5 is that it doesn't include an AC plug for the USB power cord that honestly could actually be used.

It worked great when I bought it in July 2017. Used on an old Firestick TV. Now and then it stopped working, you had to unplug the firestick after use and then it worked again the next time. After a while this stopped working, going back to the Amazon Fire Screen screen and preventing you from loading the show. Now the screen keeps scrolling up over and over and never stops. Can no longer use.

I received this as part of my rather unusual setup to turn my extremely versatile DMC-GH3 camera into a makeshift webcam. My camera can't be used directly as a webcam from what I've seen. First, it works, but with a few caveats: when I plugged my Fire Stick into this thing, it got really hot and I kept getting pop-up messages on the screen letting me know. When I used the small HDMI extender that came with the Fire Stick, it didn't get as hot and I didn't get this message anymore. Second, it started flashing after a few minutes and then went off.
