My daughter has a hole in her eardrum. She should swim with a plug and ear flap. Last year's kid-size strap was too small, so I ordered this one. The adult headband fits great and protects your ears while swimming. She is 9.5 years old and of average height for her age.

I've used this a lot swimming in the pool, pulled it as tight as I could, with ear putty in my ear. I still had water in my ear and felt uncomfortable because it was so tight. I've tried this many times to connect the top and back of my head and it didn't work for me.

Finally! Something to keep water out of your ears! Not for swimming, but for showering! I have a terrible earwax problem which is made worse when water gets in my ears. Now that helped a lot! I have asked for a pair of earbuds (which come with the headband) to be replaced after I lost the earbuds (found them) and instead of one pair of earbuds I have three brand new ones Sets of both earbuds and get a headband. Wow! What a treat! Thank you Will and Fox. And it works (for my right ear since my two ear canals are different diameters). Next time I use them I'll just break off some putty to make it smaller.

They work. I have a medium sized head and am over 10 years old. I go to the chlorine pool 2-3 times a week for adult swim training. Neoprene isn't for chlorine but I'm hoping to upgrade to a saltwater pool subscription soon. I also photograph coral reef systems and marine biodiversity at least 1-2 times a year while traveling. With underwater photography, I constantly have to keep long hair out of my face. So far, at least in the pool, it keeps my hair in place.

I love snorkeling but hate getting or splashing water in my ears so I bought this to block the flow of water into my ears. NOTE: If you need to keep your ears dry, you need earplugs. However, it was a very cute headband that also kept all my hair out of my snorkel mask (didn't get in the way of the mask) and while my ears got wet it wasn't a constant splash in and out. my ears. I used this product on my child (7 years old) to clean the earplugs she was wearing to prevent ear infections.
