8-inch Winco CCB-8R Bouillon Strainer with Stainless Steel Reinforcement - 1 Each Review

Bought for straining homemade coconut milk. Worked great! A bit tricky to clean but I think any fine mesh will do. I used a metal stand and wooden pestle that came with another strainer I already had and the milk came out perfectly.

Bought to use as a broth strainer when I make bone broth. I also make yogurt with a euro strainer. I can also say that it will not work. The holes at the bottom are quite large. I thought the other reviewer who mentioned this might have received a defective one. Maybe we have both. But this one certainly won't make a crystal clear broth, according to other reviewers. It most likely won't work for yogurt either. :(

Pretty uncomfortable kitchen gadget. He feels unbalanced. The handle is hollow and cheaply made, and all the welds are very poorly done. This leads to small bits of food getting stuck in all sorts of cracks if you don't clean them very carefully. I even cut myself on the edges if I wasn't careful. Simply sawing it off will greatly improve the quality of the product. In general, it is clear that very little care and attention has been paid to the making of these chinuas.

This is an excellent filter for demanding applications where you really need to remove ALL the sediment to get a crystal clear result! It consists of 2 layers of very fine stainless steel mesh with a support structure that helps prevent dents in the mesh. But it is NOT easy to clean, especially by hand! I use this to strain homemade bone material. It works great and is easy to clean. I've been using a regular cheesecloth strainer for 25 years and now that I have it I won't be going back to it.
