As others have reported, the wire used in this cordset appears to be smaller than the advertised AWG 14. It may be a metric size. It is stranded and has .085 inch copper conductor diameter, which is 14 to 16 gauge (slightly thinner than 14) in standard American AWG wire sizes. Bought these to add flexibility to my solar charger. They worked great, 2 cables are included that easily connect to the solar charger. The only reason I'm giving them a 4 instead of a 5 is that the cords are individual and because of their length, they get tangled easily. I fixed it with a roll of duct tape and about 30 minutes. Maybe 10Guage is thinner than I expected. I thought I wanted these. Finally, I wanted to quickly disable all panels and the battery. My panels have MC4 connectors. So my husband was kind enough to convert the two 50 watt solar panels I have into an Anderson Y antenna.
