Bought for my son last year and the batteries died straight away. Requires 2 small round batteries. I found some, replaced them and they still don't work. Turns on regularly, but then turns itself off. I need to buy a new book lamp.

This is the first time I have tried this item. I was looking for something I could use in bed without disturbing my husband. it worked great. I can read at one o'clock without the light waking him up. It is flexible in its movement while you read. Ideal for use when travelling. I travel a lot and this is a must have on the road or in the air. I will be buying another one for my mother who is also an avid reader.

We were very happy our child used this and it didn't work for very long. Less than 2 months after she started doing this, the light didn't come on. My 9 year old daughter uses it but I've seen it work. It's very bright, but not so bright that it bothers others when she's using it, and it's perfect for her books and tablet. I used to have book lamps, but not like this. First, it looks cool. Second, the clamping part of the light is strong and will not fall off the books. He hasn't eaten the battery yet.
