Exactly what I needed.

These connectors are perfect for my solar system. They fit the 8ga cable snugly and snugly and I will buy them again when I expand my setup.

Get a good crimping tool for generators and portable power supplies

I bought these because I have 8 gauge wire and that's about all I could find. I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality. They seem to be made fairly well. First, the build quality makes crimping difficult. Make sure you have good quality pliers.

Not order. in Generators & Portable Power

I have the dumbest plugs I've ever bought. First, they have locks. You will never unplug them without destroying the plug unless you have a tool. They don't come with tools, but even if they do, you'll never get them when you need them. The worst part, however, is that the metal connectors come bundled. It is almost impossible to separate them. There is no reason to connect them before shipping. Don't waste your time with this product.

Only works on single MC4 with pro connectors

This ranch only works on single connectors but not on parallel ports This connection model requires a special key and as said it doesn't work with parallel ports, only with singles. I bought a ranch and then modified it to work with parallel ports. Very cheap plastic, very cheap

The safety latch design means you have to destroy the MC4 connector to disconnect it.

What a waste of $. The safety latch design means you have to destroy the MC4 connector to disconnect it. Of course you can't turn it off manually (manually), is that really a security measure? The secure locking pin cover also means your traditional unlocking tool cannot be used as the locking pin cover prevents the tool from pushing in the unlocking pins. The only way to unplug them once they were plugged in was to destroy the MC4 connector. Too bad I didn't buy 4 packs. Now I have 20…

Great for 8AWG wire

Was looking for a MC4 connector for 8AWG wire. I was running 150 feet of cable from a solar array to my house and needed a cable rated up to 30A. 8 AWG (55A) was a reasonable choice for my long-distance, low-loss needs.
