I don't really have a choice (as far as I know) to enhance specific surfaces on our floors. Our floors are renewed every 6 months. After two years of moderate traffic including dogs the floors still look great.

Woca Denmark Oil Refresher was a great purchase. As soon as I put it on the floor, the scratches were almost gone. That holds back new brands and I think it's a good buy. It was a bit pricey but I think you get what you pay for.

We decided on an oiled red oak floor. Much better than glossy urethane. This product re-oils the floor every time you mop it. Makes the ground "soft” when barefoot. I love this stuff and it works for a very long time if you dilute it 5:1 with water.
