Frustrated with office electronics

I purchased this unit based on the reviews I found on google. I read some of the reviews about Revain and although I was a little apprehensive I decided to give it a try. I only give 2 stars for the ease of use. It was set up well and I think it was pretty basic when it came to directions. What I didn't like was the print quality. It's very greenish - even after adjusting the levels before saving. I even tried saving it as is and trying to set it up on the computer afterwards, but it didn'tโ€ฆ

Easy to use - fun to remember

I convert slides to keep for my family and I won't be photoshopping them. The files are 72 dpi and the files are 4-5mg each. If I needed a higher resolution I would buy something else. I'm glad Titan is easy to use as I copy over 1000 slides from the 1950's to 1970's. I expect the colors of the slides to be a bit different than they were in the 1950s and 60s, so the results don't bother me. If the slide is vertical or not quite in place you may see black borders on either side, but the firstโ€ฆ

Black line in the photo below

I had this unit for a few weeks and finally installed it. The device is fairly easy to use, but it would have been helpful if the instructions pointed out a battery hole, which I eventually found. I've found that most of the slides I've scanned have a black bar at the bottom. It's not on the slide as seen on my light table. I thought maybe I didn't get the slide in the holder quite right, so I made more adjustments. A line kept appearing, which is why I had to go to "my pictures" and cut theโ€ฆ

Not as easy or as good as hoped

My first impression is that it's not as easy to use as advertised and the scan results aren't as good as I'd hoped. I am still evaluating the product but may return it. I bought it mainly to digitize APS and the 35mm negatives I have from various trips. The attached images show the results of my first test scans. With the standard settings, the scans were very dark with poor color reproduction - mostly with a bluish cast. With some fiddling with the settings, I was able to get an acceptableโ€ฆ
