I was hesitant to buy this toy because all the 5 star reviews seemed suspicious but. My 12 month old loved it even before we put the batteries in. There are all sorts of little things to interact with, lights, sounds, things to pull out, a hammer to pull out. I'm a little surprised he's having so much fun with this as he usually prefers non-toy toys (tupperware, pots pans etc) but this toy actually keeps him entertained for a good 20 minutes! This is a wonderful interactive toy for children. It has so many different activities, songs, lights, the volume is decent but there is no setting to turn it down a bit. It comes with some parts that are either not attached or can be detached BUT these are large parts so don't worry about the baby choking, but of course the baby should still be supervised.
