All four sides are solid, almost like a hard plastic suitcase. It's good for durability and if you drop it it literally jumps, but it's useless if you're trying to step the clutch in tight spaces (like sitting next to someone in a car).

Just received mine and it is beautiful. I ordered rose gold. When opened, gold parts are covered with a protective plastic film that prevents scratches. The wallet is also packed very well considering I had to unroll 3 layers of foam and plastic. It has ample space for the essentials you'll need at a party with the girls, a date, or any special occasion. I can't wait to use it this spring!

Good sized handbag with added chain shoulder strap. Medium real gold color, not champagne, not bronze, not rose gold. Beautiful style, shiny gold without the shine that sheds. Wide enough for a few essentials but couldn't close with my iPhone 11 Pro with holder, car keys, lipstick and a small container of mints. I had to leave something. I will most likely only use this bag once or twice a year. That must take a long time.
