Order larger – handy

Practical, but I would suggest going up a size. They tend to be a little tight, I ordered a medium size and women's shoe size 9.5-10 as shown in the size chart. Warm and cozy socks made from medium weight wool. They don't have a soft sole like some, but they're perfect for everyday use if you choose the right size.

Pros
  • Perfect for the outdoors and gifts
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Same thickness as cotton socks.

These socks are the perfect thickness to be worn in safety shoes all day without piles of material cramming into the unforgiving toe box of my safety shoes. They also kept my feet warm when we were first exposed to Michigan winter temperatures where temperatures were in the mid 20's. I will try to add more of these socks to my wardrobe.

Average quality but good fabric

I have a lot of Merino wool socks. These Socks Daze socks are not on the same level of quality as my favorite Darn Tough or Cloudline socks, but they are pretty close in quality to Smartwool socks. In other words, they're good enough for everyday use. These socks are relatively thin, so they may not be the best for staying warm. But still good for wicking sweat and keeping feet comfortable during moderate walking or light hiking. It's also nice that they're free from unnecessary branding or…

  • 100% risk free purchase
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Warm and comfortable, but thin

Thick socks make feet feel suffocating and uncomfortable. On the other hand, thin socks don't warm enough outside in cold weather. These merino wool socks avoid both problems. They are thin, breathable and comfortable, but still warm. I wore them recently when I was outside in sub-zero temperatures for a long time. They performed well and cold fingers were never a problem. The material difference between merino wool and traditional cotton/polyester/nylon is immediately apparent when you put…

Pros
  • Moisture-wicking, shock-absorbing and blister-proof
Cons
  • Hard to tell
