Captivating Wood Trick Theater: Perfect Birthday Gift for All Ages Review

This is my second Wood Trick. First there was a carousel, which I really liked, but the cogs of this company do not stand still. I had to keep coming back to them with the music box and carousel because they kept falling out of frame. The project wasn't difficult, but I would have preferred a diaper box rather than a crank for a music box. It's annoying to turn up again and again. This was really fun and it had just the right amount of extra parts! I use my own wood glue because I like Gorilla Quick Glue, but the one that comes with it works great. At first I had trouble getting my package delivered by FedEx but after contacting the company's customer service they were fantastic and sent a replacement straight away. I've always loved their products, they're fun and have great step-by-step instructions! I can't wait for them to release new wooden puzzles.

I liked this build, the first one I made from this company. This was made as a gift for a friend and for reasons of our own we replaced the music box with one from the same company, Kikkerland (Imagine The Beatles instead of the Happy Birthday that comes with purchase). The dimensions were the same for both, so the screws fit perfectly without any problems. Note that aligning the crank with the wooden gear took some work, but it was the hardest part of the build and shouldn't be a deal breaker.

I liked the idea behind this project but the building process was not smooth. It wasn't that the instructions were difficult, all the parts either required a lot of force to break or sanding and wasting too much time. The pieces were very difficult to remove and of course you think that with more force the piece can break so be more careful but it takes forever. I don't know why they made the fit so tight. I've just finished this and I have to say a lot of effort and effort went into the development of this kit and the laser cut is superb. I have built many balsa planes and depending on what stage they are in the die quality can vary wildly. Not here. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. You should take care to grind parts if necessary. Also, the extra spares are a nice touch because I actually had to use two of them to replace the broken ones, so see what they give you and take extra…
